Today's a good day. I claim it to be a good day. Two projects that I'm excited about. Two projects to follow, which always excites me. "Old Boy" and "The Last Dragon" Remake.
Went to see "Two Trains Running" last night at the Nate Holden Theater. It was a really good production. Seeing seasoned actors do their thing is always refreshing. Now, not all of the cast was up to par, but most were, and that's really all that counts. There were a lot of name actors there, which once again tells me I'm moving in the right direction. I constantly find myself amongst those that are working.
Went to see my family last night. My cousin said something that bothered me. We are watching "Cold Case" and he asks me,
" Kenyetta, do you have an agent?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
" Why can't he get you one one of these shows or something?"
It was like he was frustrated, or disappointed... I don't know. What people don't understand,and what I told him is that I have auditioned for that show, and many other shows. It seems as if I'm not doing anything, but I am... I am... I bust my ass everyday, but it takes time. Things don't just happen over night.
Family and friends don't see all of that. They don't see class, auditions, callbacks, almost getting there. They see... I see you on the big screen.
I don't want anyone to loose faith in me. To loose faith and hope that I am doing it. It just takes time, and work, and I'm working... I'm working...
