I feel proud today. To be African American, Black, A Woman of Color... yes. I feel proud to live through this experience. Today I am a better woman...today I will become a better American... today I own my Blackness. I move forward to be even better than I was yesterday. As an actress, I represent my people with dignity and confidence. I allow no one to make me feel less than who and what I am.
